(US) 9 (5.5mm) 16” circular needles
one (US) 9 (5.5mm) needle straight for 3 needle bind off.
310 g (360 g, 426g)/692 yards (803 yards, 950 yards) Paton’s Classic Merino Wool (or any worsted weight yarn)
Stitch marker, row marker: optional

Size: 7.75"(19.5cm) x 72” (84”, 100”) (183 , 213.5, 254cm) [shown in 100" length] Long enough for an adult to wrap around the neck 2 times.
Gauge: 15.5 sts/24 rounds=4" (10 cm) in pattern

K=Knit
P=Purl
C/O=Cast On
B/O=Bind Off
PM=Place Marker


C/O 60 stitches, join in the round being careful not to twist stitches. PM to mark the beginning of the round.
Round 1: *K9, p1* around 6 times.
Round 2: Knit around
Repeat rounds 1 and 2 for pattern 192 (226, 262) times.
Repeat Round 1, once more.
Bind off with a 3 needle bind off. Cut yarn, and weave in ends.
